1. Who We Are
KaamWala ("we", "us", "our") is a free invoice and proposal generator built for Pakistani freelancers and small businesses. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how you can control it.
2. What Data We Collect
When you use KaamWala, we collect:
- Account information: your email address and a hashed password (we never see your actual password).
- Business profile: business name, owner name, license number, contact details, address, payment details (Easypaisa/Raast numbers), QR code image, and logo that you choose to upload.
- Invoices: client names and contact info, invoice items, amounts, notes, and dates that you enter.
- Technical info: basic session data to keep you logged in.
We do not collect your phone number (unless you enter it), location, contacts, photos (unless you upload a logo/QR), or any other data on your device.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To sync your invoices and business profile across the devices you log into.
- To show your invoices and profile in the app.
- To verify your premium subscription status (if you upgrade).
- To provide customer support if you contact us.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.
4. Where Your Data is Stored
Your data is stored securely in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore and Firebase Authentication), which runs on Google Cloud infrastructure. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest.
Only you and the KaamWala admin (for account approval and support) can access your data. Firestore security rules prevent other users from reading or modifying your account.
5. Payment Information
If you upgrade to Premium, you send payment directly through your Easypaisa/Raast account to our published number. We only receive a payment screenshot you choose to share with us. Once verified, we mark your account as Premium — no financial details are stored.
6. Third-Party Services
KaamWala uses these services:
- Google Firebase — authentication and database. Firebase Privacy
- GitHub Pages — free hosting for the app. GitHub Privacy
- jsPDF, SheetJS, PDF.js, QRCode.js — open-source libraries that run entirely on your device. They do not send any data anywhere.
7. Data Retention
Your data stays in our system as long as your account exists. If you don't log in for an extended period, we may still keep your data — you can log in any time and it will be there.
8. Your Rights — Delete Your Data
You can delete your data at any time:
- Delete individual invoices: History page → 🗑 Delete on any invoice.
- Delete your business profile: Profile page → 🗑 Delete Profile.
- Delete your entire account: Email us at the address below and we'll permanently delete your account and all associated data within 7 days.
9. Children's Privacy
KaamWala is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we discover an account belongs to a child, we will delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of KaamWala means you accept the updated policy.
